Technical guides for Android and iOS teams: certificate pinning, app signing, attestation, runtime signals, Frida detection, biometrics, kiosk mode and more.

Practical guides for the engineers who build, release and run mobile apps and devices. Each guide answers one task, such as rotating a pinned certificate, signing a release or verifying an attestation on your server. Android and iOS are covered separately in every guide, because the platforms work differently.

How the guides are organised

AreaWhat you will find

Devices and fleetsDevice security signals and Android kiosk mode

For iOS-only material, start with the iOS app security guides.

Before you follow a guide

Check three things against your own environment: the platform and OS versions you support, the framework your app is built with, and who in your team owns signing and release. Each guide states the platform mechanism it relies on, so you can confirm it in your own documentation and test it on your own devices.

Solution guides, articles and definitions sit alongside these guides on mobile security resources. For product context, see mobile app security, device security and mobile device management.
